Umpteenth version of the Emily Bronte tragedy is well-staged but an intense Hardy isn't well-matched by petulant newcomer Riley. Heathcliff (Hardy) is a poor Gypsy boy adopted into the Earnshaw family where he and Cathy (Riley) find they are soulmates. Unfortunately, Cathy chooses to marry proper aristocrat Edgar Linton (Lincoln) and a furious Heathcliff, who has made his own fortune, decides on a spiteful revenge.
